2012-ben meg is alapította a platformját melyet Lost & Found névre keresztelt.

Due to the upcoming Lost & Found label night in Budapest, we made an interview with the artists. For the English interview, please scroll down!

Melyik volt a kedvenc úticélod DJ-ként 2017-ben?

Chicola: Sziasztok! Köszönöm a lehetőséget, már nagyon izgatott vagyok a Lost & Found Show miatt!

Melyik a kedvenc klubod?

Chicola: A Slippers a kedvencem jelenleg.

Chicola: Azt hiszem, a tempó.

Ezért is rendezik itt a bulik közel 90%-át.

New York egy nagyszerű példa.

Chicola: Tel Avivban rengeteg a kiváló producer.

Eli: Khen!

Guy J: Guy Gerber volt rám a legnagyobb hatással, azt hiszem ő a legjobb producer otthon.

Guy Mantzur: Olyanokat választok, akikkel már együtt dolgoztam többször is, úgy mint Guy J, Khen, Sahar Z, Chicola. Mind nagyszerű emberek akikkel szeretek együtt dolgozni.

Melyik művész(ek) voltak a mentorok, amikor elkezdtél bekapcsolódni a zenei vérkeringésbe?

Guy J: Az elektronikus zenéhez való kötődés a trance zenékkel kezdődött.

Mi a kedvenc tracked a többiektől?

Chicola: Sahar Z & Vic – Ollie

Eli: Chicola – Yoav

Guy J: Veracocha ‎– Carte Blanche

Eli:  „Let’s get Lost!”

Guy J: Ha egy nagyon rövid szlogent kellene kitalálni ezt mondanám: „Keeps you warm in the summer”

Guy Mantzur: “Lose your body and find your soul”

IN ENGLISH:

What was your favorite destination as a DJ in 2017?

Chicola: Hi! Thanks for having me, I am very excited for our Lost & Found Showcase!

Defiantly the Boat Party with HiFly in Budapest was my favorite gig of the year. The crowd was out of this world, the weather was amazing and had so much fun playing with my good Friend Guy J.

Eli: My debut gig in Argentina and ADE’s Lost & Found crazy party.

Guy J: South America is my favorite Destination for this year, I’ve been there few times and also last wknd and the way people dance there for the music, the way they feel the music is unique for this region, its no secret that Argentina has the best crowd.

Guy Mantzur: Of course, Budapest is always one of my favorite places to play, Argentina as well on top of my list together with the amazing Warung Club in Brazil.

Tel Aviv is the center of Israel’s house music. Which one is your favorite venue?

Chicola: Slippers is my favorite venue at the moment. It’s in the center of Tel Aviv and it’s like a very old apartment with beautiful dark corners and great sound!

Eli: My Wednesday nights residency in a small warm place called ARIA is my fav spot in town.

Guy J: Tel Aviv has many good venues but to be honest I didn’t visit for a while, from what I hear “The Block” is a very good club and also “Slippers” is a new venue that opened recently and doing very well.

Guy Mantzur: these days the best parties in Tel-Aviv are not in a specific club, it’s the open air parties that happened almost every week. The Tripping is an amazing group of people that make the best parties around here.

What is the biggest difference between the nightlife in Tel Aviv and other cities in Israel?

Chicola: I think it’s about the tempo. Tel Aviv is a high-speed place, my office is in the heart of Tel-Aviv and I can find myself getting out of the office late at night and the streets would be packed. I really like it.

Eli: Absolutely the spirit of people!!!

Guy J: Tel Aviv has kind of everything going on in it, its most open-minded city in Israel but yet very complex. As you probably know Israel has a lot going on in it, very amazing and good stuff and some less good but it holds it all in it, many different opinions, religions, & more, which gives it its beauty and strong energy.

Guy Mantzur: Tel-Aviv is the heart of Israel and our country is very small so people traveling all over the country to Tel-Aviv every weekend to party. That’s why 90% of the parties are here.

And compared to a city in the US, Australia, and Europe for example?

Chicola: I think in every country you have that energetic city with super cool people, bars, nightlife. New York is a great example. Also: London, Budapest, Amsterdam, there is something different in all those amazing cities.

Eli: In Tel Aviv, we are clubbing every day of the week.

Guy J: Tel Aviv is a true 24 Hour city, I’ve been to many big cities around the world and not many can keep up with the energy that Tel Aviv has , you can find something to do at any hour of the day, eat at any time of the day, it’s amazing.

Guy Mantzur: Basically the whether In Tel-Aviv is hot most of the year so there are lots of outdoor parties during all year, much more them most of the other countries I know. And that is something that effects on the night’s life vibe.

If you could choose someone from Israel, who would you work with a song or EP and who would you play with a B2B show?

Chicola: There are so many good producers in Tel Aviv. I always really into all of my Lost & Found friends, they kick it every time and I am super happy to work together with any of them as they are so talented.

I really like what Eli Nissan is doing recently and also Sahar Z just finished some amazing stuff so I would love to work with him again for sure!

Last summer we played b2b in Toronto. It was me, Sahar & Khen in an afterparty,  which was very special and I would love to do that again. That was a magic set!

Eli: Khen!

Guy J: Guy Gerber was one of my biggest inspiration, I Think he is one of the best producers out there.

Guy Mantzur: I would have chosen same people that I’m working with already. Guy J, Khen  Sahar Z, Chicola are all amazing artists and people to work with.

Guy Mantzur
Guy Mantzur

Which artist(s) was/were your mentor when you started to get involved to the music scene?

Chicola: Danny Tenaglia. Legend!

Eli: If I had to name just one it will be Sahar Z!

Guy J: My Love for electronic music started from trance music, System F, Signum, Ferry Corsten & Armin, just to name a few had a big influence on me at the time.

Guy Mantzur: Laurent Garnier, Sasha, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Portishead, Massive Attack, Air, Pink Floyd and many more.

I Think from the point of view of doing, of course, Digweed was my biggest influence, his sets on his radio show were just perfect example of how a night should be, how to put a full night in 1 Hour

What is your favorite tune from the others?

Chicola: Sahar Z & Vic – Ollie

Eli: Yoav by Chicola

Guy J: Veracocha ‎– Carte Blanche

Guy Mantzur: I love Childhood from Chicola.

What was your first impression regarding Budapest’s nightlife?

Chicola: Great people actually with an amazing vibe. It’s my third time there and I really love it.

Eli: Well…. it’s my first time in Budapest.

Guy J: I Visited Budapest first time when I was 18, of course as a tourist and not a DJ. I Went to Pacha at the time and also went to the Street Parada and was moved by the energy and love of the people for Electronic music. I Think in Europe and the world it’s defiantly one of my favorite destination, Special for the melodic/Progressive sound, it had a very special corner in my heart.

Guy Mantzur: We always call it „The Argentina of Europe”. The crowd there is so amazing and warm and each show gives me so much inspiration

If you have ever tried any, what is your favorite Hungarian dish?

Chicola:  To be honest I haven’t tried yet.

Eli: Kürtős Kalács

Guy J: I’m Vegetarian so not many options but I tried vegetarian Goulash and loved it 🙂

Guy Mantzur: I love Kürtős too!

And finally, if Lost & Found was a handmade product, how would you sell it which slogan would you use?

Chicola: Haha, that’s a good one! Well, Lost & Found is really handmade. Guy J built it with his own hands so in a way it’s handmade and that’s the beauty of it!

Eli: „Let’s Get Lost!”

Guy J: I Think I would make it a scarf slogan would be „Keeps you warm in the summer”

Guy Mantzur: „Lose your body and find your soul”
